Following his 2016 Big Year, Christian has been teaching high school science classes at The Link School in Buena Vista, Colorado and leading birding tours. His passion for teaching and learning has driven him to constantly seek new opportunities to share his love for nature with others, including instructing at Hog Island Audubon Camp and ABA Young Birder programs in Colorado. When he isn’t birding, Christian enjoys spending time with family, and learning more about raptors through the ancient sport of falconry.
illustrator / ambassador
Andrew Guttenberg drew his first recognizable bird--a Pileated Woodpecker, before his 2nd birthday. While his skills have increased significantly since then, Andrew still pursues birds with childlike wonder and boundless curiosity. Equally at home in the field or at the drawing table, Andrew does freelance illustration mostly in colored pencil, Micron pen, and gouache. His work has been published in Birding Magazine and Montana Bird Distribution. When he’s not chasing hummingbirds around the Neotropics, Andrew can be found in beautiful western Montana, with his wife, Ana Clara. Andrew’s artwork can be found online at his website at www.andrewguttenberg.com.
